The Origin of Aegis Sacra

You may be wondering how we arrived at these ingredients and the different options available for this protection ritual (I would be). As someone who practices, I want to have an authentic experience with any items that have been curated for such sacred events or activities in my life. For this reason, we wanted to share a little history about this ritual and why we've decided to share our "recipe" with others - in hopes of bringing strong protection into your space against all forms of negative attacks. 

A little over a decade ago, our home became the stage for unsettling psychic disturbances. Both of us had grown up sensitive to spirit activity, but this was unlike anything we had faced before. Nights were filled with crushing nightmares and the heavy weight of unseen hands. Apparitions lingered in the corners of rooms, their presence sharp and unfriendly. We were also experiencing negativity from other people in ways that were impacting our sacred spaces, such as a neighbor drastically changing behavior out of nowhere and doing things like, confronting us in our yard for no apparent reason or parking in their front yard to stare at us the entire time we were enjoying our front porch, causing us to be uncomfortable in our own yard and home. 

It was during this time of fear and uncertainty that we realized a deeper protection was needed. Until then, our practice was fairly simple like occasional herbs we collected from our own plants and trees,  candles and incense, and a crystal or two, but we felt called to weave something stronger. Something deliberate. Something sacred.

From that need, Aegis Sacra was born. At first it was a humble ritual, not so different from the mini version we now offer. Yet even in its simplicity, it brought peace, comfort, and a more positive environment. The oppressive experiences ceased, the air cleared, the neighbor and other negative persons no longer disturbed us, and for the first time in months, our home felt safe again. We felt protected, because we were protected.

Over the years, we refined the ritual, strengthening it, shaping it with care and intention. It has become one of our most trusted guardians; a shield woven of earth, spirit, and devotion. 

When we share Aegis Sacra with you, we are offering more than a ritual kit. We are offering a piece of our own history, a practice that safeguarded our home and continues to watch over us. Our hope is that it may do the same for you and your sacred spaces—bringing protection, clarity, and peace where it is most needed.

We offer three versions on a limited rotating basis. Due to the intentional collection and curating of these kits coupled with us being a small business of two people who work full-time jobs, we are unable to offer more than a few kits at any given time. • Mini: The original, simple, and powerful version - small but mighty!

• Standard: Enhanced with thorns and seashells for stronger protection; a medium-sized ritual with a slightly larger jar a little more ingredients than the mini version.

• Deluxe: Maximum shielding with nails, shark-eye seashells, and larger items. This version also has reusable items, including enough non-reusable items for two kits. In other words, this version can be used as for at least 2 rituals OR all almost all ingredients used in one ritual for a superior protection and barrier.

Please Note:
This is the Standard Edition — some items available in our deluxe edition are not included in this kit. This kit is ideal for those who enjoy minimal ritual tools or who have their own ritual tools. The kit can be a standalone kit - you'll have everything you need to perform the ritual; adjust to fit your practice.
